Project Title: Under the Northern Skies
Brief Synopsis: Amidst the icy winds of the North, a song is born. Young Lemminkäinen, restless and bold, seeks adventure and love. When he meets Kyllikki, their fates intertwine in a dance of light and shadow. But fate is merciless—Louhi, Mistress of the North, sets him on an impossible quest: to slay the Swan of Tuonela. Betrayal and vengean- ce threaten his path, forcing his mother to embark on a desperate journey to bring him back from the realm of the dead. Guiding the tale is Kanteletar, the Spirit of Song, portrayed by Ida Elina, whose voice and kantele echo Finland’s ancient traditions. Inspired by the Kalevala—the Finnish national epic that also influenced J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings—Under the Northern Skies revives the timeless power of love, loss, and hope in a visually breathtaking and musically immersive journey.
