Rose grew up during the war in a Jewish family, marked by the loss of her father in deportation. Without ever turning this wound into a direct narrative, she moved forward, created, and transformed adversity into strength. This quiet resilience flows through her entire journey. The film focuses less on her career than on capturing her presence. Through her words, laughter, humor, and freedom, Rose Torrente tells a world that has disappeared: a time before fashion became an industry, when haute couture was defended as an art against mass production.

Filmed over eleven months, the documentary also meets her family, former collaborators, and friends. Each, with their own sensitivity and memory, reveals a fragment of the Torrente story. These intimate testimonies, delivered freely, sketch the portrait of a woman deeply loved and respected.
