Project Type: Short Film
Project Title: JO!
Synopsis: Jo is a young British filmmaker who travels to Turkey to make a documentary about Onur Ocak, a famous portrait photographer known for capturing people in a deeply personal way. At first, Jo is curious and inspired by his work, but as they spend more time together, things begin to shift. Onur isn’t just her subject anymore—he starts to challenge her role as the one behind the camera. Their connection becomes tense and confusing, filled with quiet moments, unspoken thoughts, and a growing sense that something isn’t quite right. As Jo gets closer to him, it becomes harder to tell who is in control of the story. What started as a simple film project turns into something more intense, and possibly dangerous. JO! is a slow-burning psychological thriller about power, trust, and what happens when the line between the observer and the observed starts to disappear.
