An Interview with Jan Niederprüm, Lisa Marie Krosse, and Lucas König



Jan Niederprüm studied German Literature and history at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Even during his bachelor's degree, he dealt with various media narrative forms on a theoretical level. In addition to participating in various project work in communication sciences, he has already gained his first practical experience by producing small radio reports. During his master's degree in literature and media practice and German studies, he discovered his love for film. During this time he not only realized a large number of short films, but also various commissioned works for the Fontane Archive in Potsdam and the California Institute of Arts, among others.



Jan Niederprüm's works move equally between the documentary and the fictional. His first film, the no-budget production A Song of Starless Skies, was completed in December 2021.
