Project Title: If Separation Didn't Exist

Brief Synopsis: If Separation Didn ́t Exist is the result of Finnish-Azerbaijani-Norwegian electro duo Ya Tosiba teaming up with filmmaker Minna Långström to make a music video for their track Ayrılıq Olmasaydı. In the video a geologist in an Antarctic field laboratory searches for micro meteorites among sand grains and dust collected from the ice and sandy seabed. While sand appears unified to the naked eye, under the microscope, each grain is revealed as a unique, colorful crystal. Among the sand, she discovers alien planet-like micro meteorites, perhaps originating from an asteroid collision and transported to Earth via a meteorite shower. Her work triggers memories of a distant, familiar beach and a faraway person.
