Project Type: TV Episodic Pilot Script
Project Title: TOKYO ROGUE

Brief Synopsis:
"Tokyo Rogue" is a limited dramatic TV episodic series based on the real-life memoirs of Elise Krentzel — a 19-year-old New York music journalist who arrives in Japan with KISS in 1977 and never boards the return flight.
What begins as a backstage assignment explodes into a wild, culture-clashing coming-of-age — as Elise finds herself embedded in the underground music industry, navigating the power plays of Tokyo’s pre-tech male-dominated business elite, and challenging the expectations of two societies: the one she left behind and the one she’s not meant to belong to.
This is a story of reinvention, rebellion, and female grit, told with the stylish edge of Tokyo Vice, the backstage tension of Almost Famous, and the emotional stakes of The Queen’s Gambit — this one really happened.
