Psychoco - Directed by Agnė Daniūnaitė

Project Type: Film

Project Title: Psychoco

Brief Synopsis: Psychoco tells us a story about a young girl Eleonora, who starts falling in love with Oliver - confident and admired by everyone. She has a dream to sing on stage with her instrument Ukulele, but fear gets the better of her. The film shows us not only the real world but also Eleonora's inner world, further emphasizing her emotions and what she is going through throughout the film. It seems that everything is going well for Eleonora and Oliver, but the story quickly takes a dark turn. She gets sexually assaulted by him when she desperately tries to stop him, her inner world shows the conflict between her feelings for him and the pain while she is being restrained by thorns that make her not being able to move which mirrors the real events happening simultaneously. The film delves deep into the journey towards healing and understanding that it’s not the victims' fault and we need to stop this wrong mentality. The only way for us to make a difference is to tell our story and speak up so that it can reach someone who needs to hear it.
