Director Biography

Drew Stephens is a former Television and Radio host in Bangkok Thailand, as well as the host of Electric City TV in San Francisco. He has collaborated on many dozens of film projects that have screened around the world, including the award-winning short films “Prinsesa,” “VDA: Tape 96” and “Bound 4 Heaven.” For the past decade, Drew has also been conducting motivational workshops to encourage aspiring filmmakers to create their own independent films. Director Statement (SPOILER ALERT) In this time of a global pandemic, it is important to remember that there are millions of people who are still trying to survive the previous global health crisis: HIV/AIDS. This story spotlights the growing number of HIV cases in older women of color and illustrates the stigma that people with HIV still face. Would that stigma change if it were your own mother? If so, why?
