Author's intentions - theme

Accepting not to be reciprocated and still being able to be happy if the loved one is in love with someone else is the great theme told in this film through the vision of the protagonist who falls in love with his best friend, who however loves another boy. His initial envy will lead him to make a deplorable gesture, such as to ruin the enchanted village in which they live. Accepting the idea that one's own feelings are put in the background in favor of someone else's turns out to be the moral of this story. Putting yourself in the shoes of those you love, understanding your feelings for another person and facing the fear of being alone. All set up within a fairy village, whose nature is reinvigorated and cultivated by the love of the people who, marrying through the power of the town's mountain, nourish its prosperity by growing plants, reblooming fields or fruiting trees in a balanced and cyclical renewal of the ecosystem.

Stylistic references

The enchanted village called "DATTILO" takes inspiration from a village existing on Italian territory, in Calabria, called Pentedattilo. This ancient village stands in the presence of a Mountain whose conformity resembles an open Hand to show the five fingers.

The wonderful naturalistic landscape of total imagination has been reconstructed with various enrichments such as numerous watercourses that flow along the town, originating from some waterfalls located between one rocky finger and the other of the Mountain, flower fields, several woods for a country rich in vegetation, and an underground cave in the depths of the Mountain that houses the beating Heart.
