Brief Synopsis: When a newly arrived immigrant middle schooler, William (Weiwei), clashes with classmates over a classroom chair, his mother is called in to meet the principal. Unable to express herself in English, she struggles to defend her son, while William conceals the truth to avoid further trouble. The principal's perfunctory handling of the incident leaves William alone with his silent frustration. In a quiet act of rebellion, he floods the restroom and casts the mismatched symbolic blue chair into the river - a haunting gesture that exposes his deeper struggle with identity, isolation, and the longing to belong.
